Botany Must Become a Science of Life Again
By William Cinéa · June 20, 2026
The lack of botanical knowledge is a major problem. In many societies, plants are used, replaced, imported, watered, cultivated, or eliminated without sufficient understanding of their ecology, their adaptation, and their role in ecosystems.
A Science Too Often Forgotten
Some people water cacti as if they had the same needs as plants from humid environments. Elsewhere, countries possess extraordinary plants, unique ones adapted to difficult conditions — yet eliminate them to import plants from other ecosystems.
This can lead to the destruction of ecosystems built over millions of years, to unnecessary expenses, and to the introduction of exotic plants that are sometimes invasive.
Breathing New Life into Botany
Botany must not be considered a dead or secondary science. It must become:
- a science of life,
- a science of understanding the world,
- a science of innovation,
- and a science of action.
The Plant Master doesn’t just look at a plant. He reads the history, the ecosystem, the chemistry, the adaptation, and the hidden opportunity in that plant.
This integrated vision is what the Plant Master program seeks to convey.
