Introduction
From passion to understanding
Plant enthusiasts are people who already have a connection with plants. They use them, observe them, grow them, photograph them, transform them or study them in their own way. Some are interested in medicinal plants. Others in food plants, nutrition, gardens, landscaping, pharmacy, ecology, conservation, ornamental plants or traditional knowledge. But many have never had the chance to learn botany in a simple, practical and accessible way. Botapreneurs is creating this community to help these people move from passion to a better understanding of plants.

The problem
The problem
For a long time, botany was presented as a difficult, highly academic science full of technical words. Many people love plants but think botany is not for them. At the same time, much of modern botany has become more molecular, cellular or specialized. These fields matter, but many have lost access to descriptive botany: observing, recognizing, comparing, naming and understanding plants in their environment.
Today, identification apps can help. But an app does not replace botanical observation: it offers a name, without teaching you why this plant belongs to a given family, why it produces a given flower, why it grows in a given place, or why it can be confused with another species.
